I like the tire to be sticky. After falling to gravel on a curve in '02, I crave grip. If also ridden in the rain (not on purpose) and you need a tire that will at least slow you down when you need it otherwise a person can panic and grab that brake and go for a serious slide. Most tires have the same duribility but the better tires will grip on turns as well as the straights. If you do alot of riding and not just straight lines, you will go thru a tire sooner that later but that hard tire may not have the performance that you will need. Just my opinion.

I ride an 02 Busa. You know; the bike said not to be curve friendly. I agree if you run factory equiped bridgestones. I'm Vice Prez of the 151 Riders out of Atlanta. There have been @least 4 members convinced to go with metzlers after seeing the Busa in action. I never approach anyone about my tires. They ask what tires I'm running after rides. I only get about 2500 miles out of the back tire. It wears a little quicker than the front but I think that has to do with wheelies. In one word "Sticky".

Talking about tires, the rear tire in most cases, (depending on riding habits), has a 2.5 or 3 to 1 ratio to the front tire. The rear tire is where your power is located. Everytime you leave a stop, power to the rear helps you to move. Cowboy, www.dirtysouthriders.comMiami, FL or www.mtii.com
