Whats the deal, RYDERS! We all know someone who knows someone who has had a run-in with the Law, heck I've had a few myself, but I learned a lot from the experience and now I can share that experience with others. Being on both sides of the law (working for law enforcement and being a Ryder myself) means I have to walk a tight rope..NOT.. if you're wrong, you're wrong...but if you're right, fight! Don't allow anyone to cause you to back down from any situation on the road when you're following all the laws and riding safely. It happens all the time..just because we ride the machine. I wish to open the door to all and any discussion on this subject. It needs to be brought to the forefront and dealt with, and that's what I'm here to do. I would like to hear your stories, your gripes and complaints about the law and the way in which they handle motorcyclists, particularly Black Bikers and Sport Bike Riders in general. I also want to hear the good things you have to say about the law, because as we know one bad apple can ruin the whole bunch sometimes, so be honest. If you have something good to say, say it. All these comments will be compiled and taken to law enforcement agencies around the country in order to get some input on how we can have a better relationship between ourselves and law enforcement. This will start the dialog. JUST ANOTHER WAY TO BRIDGE THE GAP

The way I see it, there is a need for public education. The riders are eduacted in the motorcycle safety class but drivers and the general public get education from the media. Not good. Just because they THINK they are educated or hear things doesn't necessarily make it true. I have followed many bikers while at work and many bikers get intimidated. When they come to a stop and see that I ask about when they are getting frame sliders or if the steering feels nervous as opposed to having a steering damper, they see that I am genuinely concerned and not looking for a ticket to issue. Yet there are those that don't have proper paperwork or a license to ride rolling around and getting hurt. It works both ways but that's just me.
